A sonic journey through Nordic landscapes featuring a 200-year-old Hardanger fiddle, the first of its kind in the US, and 300-year old violin

I’m proud to present my latest EP for trailers, VALKYRIE, a beautiful and dramatic exploration of Nordic string sounds.

An awesome collaboration between myself, Eddie Thoneick, and Norwegian violinist Helena Maria Falk, it features a 200-year-old Norwegian Hardanger fiddle (which btw looks like a dragon, has 8 strings and there’s only 1 in America) and a 300-year-old traditional violin. The sounds Helena make are simply amazing and Eddie and I could put that into a context perfect for visual media.

Behind the project.

Featuring a 200-year-old Hardanger fiddle, the only one of its kind in America, VALKYRIE is composed by platinum-selling music producer, composer, and artist Martin Wave, German producer and multi-instrumentalist Eddie Thoneick, violinist and composer Helena Maria Falk. The EP is an exploration into their Nordic and European roots, taking listeners on a journey that is reminiscent of the lyrical, melancholic, and cautiously optimistic sound of the region. With stellar craftsmanship, quality mixes and recordings, VALKYRIE blends live strings and dynamic string improvisations to tell a captivating sonic story.
